Welcome to “The Seventeenth Street House"!

Ask our Reservationists about two days for the price of one admission tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when you book this home!

The house has a year-round 3 night minimum, accommodates up to 8 adults and 2 children age 12 and under with a maximum of 3 cars. The Pacific Grove Vacation Rental Permit for this house limits the number of parking spaces to 3 cars on the street. There is no off street parking. Car pooling may be necessary to accommodate the City parking requirement.

This spacious 3,000 square feet, 3-story home has been completely remodeled with great attention to detail. The Seventeenth Street House is a perfect home for family reunions; however due to the sensitivity of our neighbors and limited parking, the home is not available for wedding parties or wedding groups.

It is located in the charming seaside community of Pacific Grove -- known as "Butterfly Town USA" because it is a stop in the migration of the Monarch Butterfly. It is also called "America's last hometown" for its small-scale, old-fashioned downtown of locally owned shops and businesses.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted by complimentary wine and nuts, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay.

On the first floor there is a solarium with views of the garden and fountains from each end as well as an open floor plan that includes a dining area with a large wooden table. There is a formal parlor-living room that adjoins a fireplace room crafted from local Carmel stone -- perfect for sitting on the comfortable couch and relaxing with a glass of wine or curled up with a good novel. There is also a library room, a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry room and full bathroom with a claw foot tub and separate walk-in shower. One small bedroom with a twin size bed is also on the first floor.

On the second floor there is a TV room with a comfortable couch to watch a movie or sports. The billiard room has a full-size pool table and is located next to the TV room making it perfect for socializing and gathering together.

Also on the second floor are 3 bedrooms, one with a king bed which can also become two twins, one with a double bed, and one with a queen bed. There is a full bathroom with a shower-over-claw foot tub that is accessible to all three bedrooms.

The third floor is the Master Suite that is like being in the treetops with beautiful sunsets and sunrises that can be seen from the windows and balcony. The master suite has a large sitting area, master bathroom with deep soaking tub, separate shower and bay views. The king bed can also be broken down into two twins if preferred. Another twin bed is located in the seating area. You can count on a great night sleep high above the treetops with the salt air smells wafting from the nearby Bay. This space is as big as a studio apartment.

This charming-turn-of-the-century house is only two blocks from the heart of Pacific Grove with award-winning restaurants, cafes, bakeries, coffee houses, a movie theater, art galleries, a bookstore/coffee house with live entertainment and numerous specialty shops including vintage clothing, antique stores, an ice cream shop as well as a Monday Farmers' Market featuring regional organic produce, local crafts and food vendors. Whatever the occasion might be, we are excited to share this special home and the beautiful surrounding area.
