Bird’s-eye views and a sense of serenity are the hallmarks of this 1400 sf Carmel home, with its main living space on the second floor among the treetops. The two-bedroom, two-bath residence is an easy walk from the galleries and boutiques of Carmel-by-the-Sea, but at the same time offers an unparalleled sense of peace and privacy in a quiet neighborhood.

Owned by a world traveler, the house features numerous unique touches, such as three clocks in the kitchen showing the time on three continents, a world map in the office area, and fine art photography throughout the home.

Guests who climb the home’s circular staircase from the first floor entry will be greeted with vistas of native live oaks, Monterey pines and coast redwoods outside, and inside, sophisticated interior décor reflecting the nearby ocean environment.

In addition to being within a few blocks of downtown Carmel, the house is also just a 10-minute car ride from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, 10 minutes to golfing and dining in Pebble Beach or Pacific Grove, 20 minutes to Carmel Valley wineries and restaurants, and a half-hour to the natural wonders of Big Sur.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary wine and cheese, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.

The living room, kitchen and dining area flow together in an open floor plan, with an adjacent office offering a desk and a small couch that folds flat into a full size bed for an additional sleeping area for 1 child. The dark wood dining room table seats six, and counter seating is also available in the kitchen.

The focal point of the comfortable living room is a gas fireplace, surrounded by a cozy chaise sectional, leather armchair and 50-inch HDTV, the ideal area for talking, playing games or hanging out.

The kitchen offers clean, modern lines as well as updated appliances, tile floors, a large sink with goose neck faucet, granite countertops and a large wooden table that can be used for serving or casual dining. A small deck off the kitchen has seating for two, the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

The master bedroom suite includes a king-sized bed and two upholstered chairs, perfect spots for reading or relaxing, as well as a 42-inch HDTV. Features of the attached bathroom are ample counter space, sand-colored tile floor and a large glass-enclosed shower stall.

A queen bed can be found in the guest bedroom, which also includes an upholstered bench and an armchair, and the adjacent bathroom has a combination tub/shower and tile floor.

A generous amount of space can be found beneath the house in the two-car carport, where beach gear or other necessities can also be stored. A laundry room with washer and dryer is available on the first floor.
