We are seeking one full time and a couple of seasonal cellar hands for our winery in Salinas. It is a busy winery focused on low intervention, quality wine production. Winery experience, especially in quality wine production, preferred. We will train the right candidate.
Seasonal employment will be for the grape harvest, which starts soon and should extend through mid October.
This is a physical job. Successful candidates will be able to
- work regular time and overtime. We require six days a week during the height of the grape harvest.
- lift and carry 45lbs regularly.
- climb and work on ladders.
- stand and work on cement floors for long periods of time.
- enter and exit narrow spaces to clean and prep tanks and presses.
- perform repetitive tasks with a focus on details and thoroughness.
