Sign Installation Technician — Signworks (Sand City, CA)

About Us:
Signworks has been fabricating and installing custom signage on California's Central Coast since 1993. We serve high-end commercial and municipal clients across the Monterey Peninsula, Santa Cruz, and beyond. We're a licensed C-45 electrical sign contractor with a fully equipped shop including CNC routing.
The Role:
We're looking for an experienced sign installation technician who can handle both the field and the shop. This is hands-on work — you'll be installing everything from illuminated channel letters and cabinet signs to post-and-panel, monument signs, vinyl graphics, and wayfinding systems. Electrical signage experience is a strong plus.
What You'll Do:
Install all types of interior and exterior signage including electrical/illuminated signs
Wire and connect sign circuits, troubleshoot electrical components
Operate boom lifts, work from ladders, and manage safe job site practices
Assist with in-shop fabrication and sign assembly
Handle deliveries, equipment maintenance, and general shop duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
Sign installation experience required (2+ years preferred)
Electrical knowledge — wiring, troubleshooting, low-voltage and line-voltage circuits
Comfortable with power tools, ladders, and boom lifts
Able to lift 100 lbs
Clean driving record
Must pass background check (we work on military and government installations)
No felony convictions
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
