This is my all-time favorite kite. And I think it will quickly become your favorite, too.

Let’s start with the best part: This kite is not only fun and funny (you can’t help but smile at the beard fluttering in the wind), it’s also a whopper, measuring 7 feet wide x 9.5 feet tall, which means you can clearly see and enjoy it even when it’s sailing 200 or 300 feet in the air – plus it’s easy to get it airborne even in a light wind.

Now the second best part: No one else you know has this fantastic kite. After seeing photos of it in several Asian kite festivals, I wanted it so badly that I arranged for a friend in Singapore to buy and send me 10 of them. Now I’m selling nine of them to cover my purchase price, shipping costs and friend fee.

The Chinese characters printed on the wings of the kite translate to “in command” or “in the lead.” And the kite is designed to mimic the masks worn by ancient performers in the Peking Opera.

The beard was originally one big piece of fabric. So, I cut it into strips and heat-sealed all the edges. This makes the kite lots of fun and even more unique.

I’ve created a video showing it in-flight (see below). It’s easy to launch, easy to keep airborne (in just about any wind), and brings smiles to the faces of everyone in sight.

It’s a very stable flier, but also flutters freely in the wind and pulls on your kite string, making it exciting to get airborne.

The build quality is top-notch. The colors are very bright, and it’s wholly constructed with individual pieces of seam-stitched rip-stop fabric (not just a design printed on a flat piece of fabric).

The included storage bag is also made of rip-stop fabric and seam-stitched.

Assembly is a snap – There are only two rods to install: one center support rod, and one spanner rod.

Material: high-quality, rip-stop fabric / seam-stitched (not glued) / high-quality, hollow-core fiberglass rods (5mm and 7mm thick) / heavy-duty reinforced kite-string connection point.

Detailed measurements: Kite body is 7 feet wide by 5 feet tall, beard is 4.5 feet long by 19 inches wide.

Storage bag size: 51 inches x 4 inches.
