Job Description:
Qualifications
• Vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus
• Orthodox understanding of the Christian faith
• Willingness to lead and teach according to the Lighthouse Statement of Faith
• Proficient music ability and ability to lead worship teams, choirs, and the congregation as we worship in song.
• Sense of call to serve middle school and high school students and their families
• Sense of call to ministry at Lighthouse
• Maintain a good reputation in the church and in the community as is appropriate for a Christian leader, is instructed in the Scriptures and is outlined in the Lighthouse By-Laws

Accountability and Relationships

• find their most important relationship in Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit
• strive to fulfill the most important earthly call by lovingly leading their family in Christ
• be accountable to the Lead Pastor and the Shepherding Team.
• strive to maintain loving and peaceable relationships with the staff and volunteers at LBC
• use their gifting to edify the LBC congregation in service with love, kindness, mercy and grace.

Responsibilities

I. Youth Ministry
A. Midweek Middle School and High School Program
- provide Biblical lessons and a creative, enjoyable program for students

B. Student Care
- stay aware of, and sensitive to, student’s individual needs and continually find ways to care for them in practical ways.
- provide invitations for salvation and behavioral commitments regularly
- small group discipleship

C. Camp, Trips, and Special Events
- Plan and run regular special events in keeping with the ministry strategy
- Events might include but are not limited to Summer Camp, winter retreats, and monthly events

D. Leadership development
- identify, develop and train adult volunteers to care for students
- identify, develop and train student to care for and serve their peers

F. Maintain cleanliness and function of youth facilities.

II. Music Ministry

A. Sunday Morning Worship Service
- work with the Lead Pastor to plan services
- lead worship regularly
- schedule, train and equip other worship leaders

B. Special Services
- Work with the Lead Pastor to plan special services like Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Eve
- Lead worship during special services

C. Develop Volunteer Lead Worshippers
- find musicians and singers
- plan and run regular worship practices

D. A/V
- work closely with the sound team and the slides team to provide effective worship arts ministries.
- Be aware of and lead the maintenance, replacement and upgrades of A/V equipment.

III. Budget responsibilities
A. Work with Finance and Budget Team to establish budget for Youth and Worship
- provide annual budget and ministry information as the leaders request as they determine ministry budgets

B. Budget accountability
- stay within and be a good steward of the financial guidelines set by the Shepherds and FBT

IV. Remuneration
A. Annual salary range 70-95k
B. 15 days paid vacation (not to include more than 4 Sundays)
C. PTO in accordance with CA law
