Fostex D-80 Digital Multi Track Recorder in working condition, but not recognizing hard drive.
Just re-checked all functions, a couple of weeks ago, and all was fine.. but I have an update.. While it WAS working perfectly, today I powered-up and it is now showing "no disk".. So it is not recognizing the hard disk. Somehow, it is either not getting power to the hard drive, or the hard drive should be swapped.
The pictures showing the meters responding and music playing were taken about two weeks ago. The display still works great, but the meters won't show any activity now, as the Fostex is showing "no disk".
Selling as is.
Condition "good" as in, it powers-up and the general, physical appearance is very good.
These were priced at $2,195 when new, and carried a typical bargain cost of around 16 to $1800 at the big musical instruments stores. At $50, this is a steal!
Fostex used much higher quality A/D - D/A converters than other manufacturers, which made these units more desirable, and still makes them desirable to this day.
Speakers shown are not included in the sale of this multitrack.
