This cello was made in 2011, and I bought it new from Kamimoto Strings in 2014 (serial #17941). I have all the original paperwork for it. It's an entry level professional grade outfit, perfect for an advanced student or someone just starting their symphony career.
Outfit includes:
• Dunov Superior 402 4/4 cello
• L Special (L'archet Brasil 'Vuillaume') pernambucco bow, 83.3g with squared off frog
• Rigid soft-shell foam case
• Larsen Magnacore strings
• Belgian bridge, fitted by Kamimoto
• Rosewood pegs and tailpiece
• Spare strings
• Larica Gold III rosin
• Paperboard bow box
• Cotton flannel dust cover (a large rectangle that drapes over the shoulders of the cello)
• Wood velvet-lined box stand
• Concert mute and practice mute
• Wolf tone resonator
• Endpin strap
Asking $8,000 for the outfit, cash only, you pick it up, no trades. I'm not interested in separating out pieces of the outfit. Please keep offers reasonable, out of respect for both my time and yours. I won't sell it to you unless you come see it in person to audition it. If you can't play, bring someone who can.
My reason for selling is that I developed nerve damage in my arms, wrists, and hands that prevents me from playing without significant pain. I'd rather see this cello go to someone who will love it as much as I do than sit in the corner collecting dust.
