1969 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate, designed by Henry Thelander, depicts Christmas guests arriving at the vicarage in a slay on Christmas eve. The motif of the plate is a bit notalgic because half- timbered houses probably with a thatched roof under the snow and guests arriving in a slay was no longer a common sight in Denmark in 1969. Denmark still have some of these houses in the country, but they are no longer common.
