This is a one-of-a-kind item: A set of seven beautifully restored, hand-carved vintage napkin rings … with fun bobble-heads.
I bought the napkin rings via several different online purchases, then set about painstakingly restoring them.
They were all originally hand-carved in the 1940s or 1950s. They may be part of the famous Anri brand or not, I don’t know.
The first issue I had to address was the neck for each figure. The elastic that allowed the heads to swivel slightly was completely worn out. So, I replaced it with a flexible plastic neck. Now, the heads on each napkin snap back-and-forth. It’s not exactly a bobble head, but it is an interactive feature that makes these napkin rings really fun, playful, and one-of-a-kind.
I also repaired the broken shoes on a few of the figures, and completely repainted them.
Measurements:
- Opening for the napkin = 1-1/2 inches
- Overall height of entire napkin ring = 3 inches
- Overall width of entire napkin ring = 1-1/4 inches
- Overall depth of entire napkin ring = 2 inches
