The California Rex/New Zealand Cross is a large rabbit breed. Our breeding mothers and fathers are all very healthy and large - so these buns will grow to 10-12+ lbs. Proven breeders, excellent stock. Our rabbits have an average of 8 kits per litter. This cross of breeding (California Rex / New Zealand) produces extremely healthy and sturdy rabbits - often raised for meat or fur because they are larger rabbits, BUT they also make great pets!
Our rabbits have been lovingly bred and cared for - and fed a 100% organic soy-free diet and only filtered water. No medications ever - and bred specifically for a clean healthy protein source.
Typical lifespan is 5-10 years, and does can give birth to a litter of kits every 72 days. (*Although it is recommended to give the mother a rest between breeding. This allows the mother to nurse the last set of babies fully.)
