Old solid wood doors with Crystal Knobs - $25 (Carmel Valley)

condition: fair
Two solid wooden doors, salvaged from an old home (early 1900s) in Capitola , each with functioning (but wobbly) crystal door knobs (front and back). Both doors are white, but slightly different whites. Each is a single recessed panel in the center - but they are not twins - each is unique. The sizes vary slightly. The doors are solid wood, and pretty heavy, which is why they’ve lasted so long. Things aren’t made this way any more. Even with imperfections - they are pretty cool.

I have the hinge pins for these doors - but maybe not the other half of the hinges - I’ll have to look.

Door A: approximately 27.5” wide by 77 inches high

Note the curling bottom portion of the door - bottom center, front and back. Can probably be flattened with wood glue and clamps.

The crystal portion of the doorknob is a slightly DIFFERENT shape, front to back. The doorknob is functioning: turning the knob retracts the latch.

Door B: approximately 29.75” wide by 77.5 inches high

This door has a sliding latch near the top on one side.

Note that the beveled portion of the wooden edge of the frame panel has been “patched” in one spot. (Look below the letter D in Door.)

The crystal portion of the doorknob MATCHES, front to back. The doorknob is functioning: turning the knob retracts the latch.

$25 each for the doors - both for $50
