Howdy Neighbor!
Do you have a project that would benefit from an extra pair of hands — even one that might span multiple days? Does that ambitious "DIY" project never seem to get done? Reply by email and tell me about it! Not only can I help you dig holes & trenches, plant & prune trees, distribute mulch, etc., but I also build & repair fences, gates, arbors, decks; install irrigation & French drains; pour concrete; lift & move heavy things; assemble furniture; fix stuff — you name it! In short, I love helping people get things done! I'm happy working right alongside you, taking direction as we go, or you can set me up to work on my own — it's totally up to you. Just think of me as your "outdoor handyman".
🧑🌾,
Justin
p.s. I've included some photos of my recent work above to give you a sense of what I can do, but please don't let that limit you. Whether your project is more or less complex — or something else entirely — I can't wait to lend a hand!
About Me:
While my wife was in grad school, we bought a house that needed a ton of work. I repaired drywall, painted bedrooms, installed light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, modular Elfa shelving for 6 closets, and over 1,000 square-feet of LVP flooring, etc. Once the interior was done, I set my sights on our 1/4-acre lot. I planted over 100 shrubs and trees (predominantly drought-tolerant/low-water species), built 4 raised garden beds and a fence to hide the pool pump, overhauled the irrigation system with new valves, PVC pipes, and drip line, dug 2 dry wells connected to 4 gutter downspouts, poured a concrete pad for our garbage cans, created custom wood and concrete bases for wired low-voltage LED landscape lighting, helped a neighbor build a floating deck around their pool, etc. I even I took a weeklong timber framing course!
To make a long story short, my wife graduated in 2022 and got a job in Monterey, so we sold our house and moved to a rental in PG. Since then — without a place of our own to maintain or renovate — I've been helping folks cross all manner of odd jobs off their to-do lists. Often I'm their landscaper/gardener, occasionally I'm their handyman/carpenter, but most frequently I'm their "do whatever needs doing" problem-solving hybrid of both. I prefer to work within about 20 minutes of Monterey (i.e., Pacific Grove, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pebble Beach, Seaside, Sand City, Del Rey Oaks, Marina, etc.), but that said, if you're located farther afield, don't hesitate to reach out — an interesting project might be worth the trip!
