The Denon PRA-2000RG (RG stands for Reference Gold!) is a Japanese market preamplifier with a true factory 120V U.S voltage conversion. It sold for 330,000 Yen back in 1990 Japan, which in today's dollars works out to $6k.
This piece was originally sold and serviced by Analogique in NYC.
It's one of the flagship Denon preamps with a very capable and sophisticated MC/MM phono stage built-in, which is selectable from the front panel control section.
It is finished in rose gold in conjunction with a high-gloss wood case.
The volume knob also has a band of wood around it which is a classy and unique touch.
