Justin Pauly Architects, a Monterey-based Architecture firm specializing in residential projects is seeking a Project Manager for new projects in the Monterey County and the South Bay areas.

A Bachelors Degree in Architecture is required, with 5-10 years of work experience in a firm focussed primarily on residential projects. Strong graphic, written and verbal communications skills are an absolute necessity.

Project managers in our office are involved in all phases of a project- from schematic design through to construction management. We are not a “layered” firm, but instead call upon project managers to preform multiple tasks throughout the course of a project, including, but not limited to:

• collaboration with other team members on early schematic designs
• development of schematic design presentations & renderings (2D & 3D)
• preforming due diligence with regulatory agencies
• drafting complete and cogent sets of construction documents
• management of the permitting process for projects across multiple jurisdictions
• coordination of project consultants required to execute construction documents (geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, interior design, etc.)
• have a strong understanding of architectural detailing and how those details must relate to the design concept of the building as a whole
• manage communication with contractors and subcontractors during project construction
• manage client communications throughout the course of the project

Additional preferred skills include:

• Archicad w/ Cadimage add-ons (willing to train applicants with only Revit experience but must have one or the other)
• Familiarity with Enscape rendering software
• Sketch-up
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design
• MS Office (Word, Excel, and Teams)
• We are a MAC based office and expect familiarity with MAC OS
• Experience with high-end single family residential and/or Multi-family affordable housing
• sketching/drawing

We are seeking a full-time employee and we are open to schedule flexibility. We will provide a competitive salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid vacation, medical insurance, employer matching for retirement plans and annual bonuses. Applicants outside of Monterey or Santa Cruz Counties should be willing to relocate to the area.

Applicants are requested to provide a resume' and portfolio of creative design work and/or recent work samples.
  • Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
