Serendipity Pre-School has been established on the Monterey Peninsula for over 40 years and is looking for a teacher who is energetic, professional and loves to work with young children. Teacher will work with children 3-5 years of age. Must have good leadership skills, writing skills and is comfortable working in a team teaching environment. Teacher is responsible for executing scheduled lesson plans in all areas of the curriculum. Is responsible for helping to lead circle time, story time, maintain educational files on each student, conduct parent/teacher conferences, to complete student's yearly assessments and to help supervise recess time. Teacher is also responsible for leading small and large groups in a variety of activities.
Work Year and Schedule:
This is a part time Monday through Friday position from 12:30-5:30
Work year: 12 months with 2 weeks off for Winter and Summer recess, 1 week off for Spring recess and most major holidays off.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Would prefer an individual with a 2 to 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education. The minimum requirement considered is an individual with at least 12-18 college units in Early Childhood Education. Will consider individuals currently enrolled in ECE and/or CHDV classes.Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
