If you have ever wanted an Eleanor Mustang Convertible project that was affordable.
This is the car.
The body kit alone is worth about $4,000, and convertibles with good frames and floors are nearly impossible to find.
If you are a serious buyer, willing to pay a fair price, we would like to end the auction early. Please contact us through EBay
This is an original V-8, 289 “C” code car, but it now has a 351 Cleveland engine in the engine bay, and Cleveland engines are some of the best engines Ford ever built.
Call us if you need a different engine or transmission, no problem we have most kinds, and are available separately at very reasonable prices.
Of course, the car comes with 5 lug suspension both front and rear.
This was originally an Acapulco Blue Mustang, but you can paint it any color you like.
It came originally with a blue interior, black power top w/ Glass Backlite, 3 speed manual transmission, console, rocker panel moldings, and a luggage rack. We guess you could put the luggage rack on, just to haul all the trophies you might receive if you start showing the car at different Mustang events.
We have included some pictures of other Eleanor Mustangs at the end of the photos below showing how the car might look when finished.
The 1967 Mustang brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and the movie “Gone in Sixty Seconds” made the Eleanor body a super way to upgrade an already Classic Mustang. With the new movie “Ford versus Ferrari” about to be released in theaters very soon, this is the right time to get this Mustang.
When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $100,000 or more.
The body is in great shape, please see the pictures attached. If you are new to the restoration process, we can coach you through all the steps. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration.
The interior will need a little work, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.
All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored.
Both front buckets seats will need to be reupholstored, and we can sell you anything you need for redoing the interior. The rear seat was out of the car when we took the pictures, but we can include it with the car. You will need new door panels and dash pad as well as carpet.
Engine bay is in great condition, and the 351 Cleveland is already in the car. You may want to consider dropping in rebuilt engine, and just use the engine that come with the car as a core. As the 351 Cleveland is already an upgrade, from the original 289, properly rebuilt, you will be blown away with the performance that can be achieved.
The Mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,500.
The car comes with both its front and rear windshield, which look to be Ok. The rest of the glass will be included as well, but there may be nicks or scratches which can be fixed or replaced.
The Mustang comes with everything shown in the pictures, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other Eleanor stuff you may need
At MustangBeginnings we are here to help you make your restoration a success. Please contact us if you have any questions.
