Slowfiber is a retail store and education hub that offers new and pre-owned tools, notions, cloth, and yarn plus classes, mendbars, and social gatherings. We buy, sell, and trade fabrics and natural fiber yarns!
Slowfiber started as an exploration in sustainable fashion construction and preservation in 2017 and evolved into a source for cloth, yarn, tools, and notions from new, up-cycled, pre-owned, recycled, historic, organic, salvaged, mill end, hand sewn, hand spun, hand knit, hand dyed, and fairly traded quality textile sources.
Learn textile skills with one of Slowfiber's instructors so you can mend or embellish what you already own. Beginning craftspeople can learn to knit, crochet, quilt, and machine or hand stitch, while intermediate and advanced makers can hone their skills and enjoy socializing with fellow enthusiasts. We are a community of people who love to create and share.
