This is an internment flag made by The Quartermaster Depot in Philadelphia. These flags were issued by the US Military to drape the coffin of our fallen soldiers. The flag measures a large 5' x 9 1/2' and is stamped Philadelphia Q.M. Depot.
All pieces are sewn together and intact.

Flag shows minimal signs of age to heavy rings and the beige border. There is some red bleeding from the ink on the stripes. There is a small hole near the edge by one of the hanging rings and is shown in a photo. The flag isn't becoming thread bare, it appears lighter because it is hanging in front of a window.
