About the Pebble Beach Road Races: These road races were run on a road circuit through the normally tranquil streets of Pebble Beach. The races, sponsored by the Sports Car Club of America, were run through 1956. High speeds and a series of wrecks, forced the races to move to Laguna Seca in 1957.
About the Pebble Beach Concours: Established in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance quickly became one of the world’s most prestigious gatherings of classic automobiles. Held on the 18th fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links, the event brings together rare and historic cars from around the globe to be judged for their elegance, authenticity, and restoration. What began as a small show alongside the Pebble Beach Road Races has grown into an international celebration of automotive history and design excellence.
