A native of the California central coast south of Monterey, Eldon Dedini began his professional career doing story board continuity for Universal in Los Angeles (1944-1947), followed by a stint as a story cartoonist for Walt Disney Co. Returning to the Monterey, California area in 1949, Mr. Dedini switched his focus and became a prominent cartoonist-gagman associated with a series of the most widely distributed popular magazines including Esquire, the New Yorker and Playboy magazines.
