Looking for a 1099 contractor for a Book keeping position - in house person that is able to use quickbooks online (THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION)
At least two years of experience Quickbooks ONLINE, using QBO for a construction background is a plus. Is not afraid to work hard and get things done, must be able to file, keep area tidy, do pricelists and work well with others. We do background checks, must reply with resume and references. We also have cameras and will be tracking your work. We need to go back through 2025 and have things entered correctly. Once books are cleaned up this will go to a 2 day of Bookkeeping and 1 day of admin support to the owner.
**Location:** Pacific Grove, CA (On‑site)
**Schedule:** Part‑time, flexible hours starting at 3 days per week Tuesday - Fridays 9am-5pm
**Compensation:** $25 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily bookkeeping in **QuickBooks Online**
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Enter bills, match receipts, and maintain accurate vendor records
- Process payments, including printed checks
- Answer phones, help clients by taking down their information if sales staff is not around
- Track customer deposits, invoices, and job‑related expenses
- Maintain clean, accurate financial data for monthly reporting
- Assist with year‑end preparation for CPA
- Assist with pricing out our showroom
- Identify and correct duplicate vendors or transactions
- Support the owner with occasional administrative tasks related to finance
REQUIREMENTS
- **2+ years of experience** with QuickBooks Online (required)
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivables, and reconciliation
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable working in a small business environment
- Experience with job‑costing or construction‑related bookkeeping is a plus
- Familiarity with bank feeds and vendor management is helpful
